User Authentication: Dr. Daji Qiao’s research focuses on biometric user authentication based on a unique combination of artificial intelligence and kinesthesis intelligence. Instead of training a machine learning algorithm to recognize a legitimate user, a hybrid type of training has been developed, in which the legitimate user is also trained to use a customized instance of the machine. This is a collaborative effort with Dr. Yong Guan (ISU CyIO), Dr. Ann Smiley (ISU Department of Kinesiology), and Dr. George Amariucai (Kansas State University).
